Men Win 4th XC Series Title in West Hartford

West Hartford, CT – The men complete the perfect season and win their fourth consecutive Cross Country Series Title at the HTC 8K Cross Country Challenge.

The Trio of Jake Duckworth, Anthony Gonsalves, and Robert Weston former a tight pack upfront, finishing within five seconds of each other. Not too far back was Cory Loftis, who finished up the team score. With his result Jake Duckworth also clinched the Individual Cross Country Series Title. The Master Team of William Zucconi, Kevin Boughan, and Bruce Christensen took home the team title on the day, and ended up finishing second in the series overall. Though the women did not register a team score they were represented by Jeanne Theleen and Sara Belles. The men and women will take to the road for various Turkey Trots and then head to Lehigh University On December 14th to compete at the USATF National Club cross Country Championships.

SoundRunners go to Collect Baked Goods (and run a race)

Litchfield CT- The Men and Women traveled to Litchfield to collect baked goods and compete in the Age Before Beauty 5k, the second stop on the USATF – Ct XC Series.

The men took took the top three spots overall and convincing won the team title. They were led by Christopher Rosenberg , who missed his own course record by four seconds. The women were led by Devyn Pryor and Carolyn Nye who were both under the previous course record. The teams hope to complete the series on top at the West Hartford 8K XC Challenge on November 23.

SoundRunners Complete The Road Series On Top

Hartford CT – The men and women took to the streets of Hartford to complete the final race of the 2019 USATF Road Grand Prix Series, the Hartford Half-Marathon.

The Women completed the Perfect Season, winning the team title to go with the series title they clinched on Labor Day. The Men Open team finished third as a team in the race and the series as a whole. The Men’s Masters team finished second on the day but won the overall series over Manchester Running Company. The new team titles have been reflected on the Past Team Titles page.

The team will now focus on the USATF CT XC Series, with the next race being the Age Before Beauty 5k in Litchfield on November 10th.

Teams Get Off to Winning Start to Cross Country Season

New Britain, CT – The men and women of soundrunner started the campaign to Lehigh on the right note, winning both the Men’s and Women’s Titles at the Ray Crothers 5k in New Britain. This is stop 1 of the three race USATF-XC series. The men were led by Stephen Paddock , who finished 5th Overall. The women put up a perfect team scored led by
Brittany Telke. The team will look to continue their winnning way in Litchfield, at the Age Before Beauty 5k on Novemeber 10th.

Teams Clinch Series Titles in New Haven

New Haven, CT – The Women’s Open and Men’s Grandmaster teams clinch series titles with a race to spare at the Faxon Law New Haven Road Race 20k on Labor Day.

The Women were led by Rachael Whitbeck and won the team race by over a half hour. The Men’s Open team finished third in the team competition, led by a top 25 finish by William Sanders. The Men’s Masters Team finished 2nd and currently hold the lead in the overall series heading into the final race. Finally the Grandmasters took home the win in New Haven and cliched the overall title in the series.

The Teams look to close out the season strong at the final race of the Grand Prix in Hartford on Oct. 13th for the Hartford Half Marathon.
