Hobbies outside of Running: I am a triathlete, so lots of cycling and swimming. I also like to mountain bike, ski, lift weights, cook, and spend time with my wife and dogs.
What you listen to on a Long Run: A little bit of everything, but mostly rock from all eras.
Race performances you are most proud of: My five Ironman finishes and all of my marathons. I am proud though any day I cross a finish line.
Something that makes you Unique: I started running later in life at the age of 39, lost 50 pounds, and have never looked back. I’ve had my left knee surgically reconstructed twice, so I cherish every day that I can keep running miles on that knee. I am also a triathlete, having completed multiple Ironman and Half Ironman races all over the US. Besides racing, I volunteer for Dog Star Rescue dog adoption organization.
