Many on the club members took to Wesleyan’s indoor track to race at Plattsys Open Track Night on Thursday, January 17th.

Highlights include Mike Waterbury’s fifth place finish overall and Christopher Pagliuco dipping under 5 minutes and taking the Masters Title. Look for soundrunner sprinkled into college and open meets throughout the Northeast and at the USATF CT Open indoor Championship next month.

Looking into 2019 the team’s main goal is to compete and finish higher in the Road Grand Prix. Also with Cross Country Nationals being in Lehigh PA this year, an added focus will be added to the XC Grand Prix. See everyone on the roads, as our first race will be the Rock & Rock 5k in March.

SoundRunner Attacks the Hill in Bolton

SoundRunner Racing Club took to the streets of Bolton to compete in the 2nd USATF-CT Grand Prix race of the season the Bolton (5 miler) Road Race. Know for its grueling hill in the last mile, all three teams that competed (Men’s Open, Women Open & Men’s Masters) finished third. After the 2nd races in the series the women remained tied for the lead while the men’s open and men’s masters remain third overall. The next race in the series will be the Delany Dash 4 Miler in May.

Women Dominate 1st USATF-CT Grand Prix Race

SoundRunner Racing Team team took to the streets of New Haven to compete in the USATF-CT Grand Prix Series Opener the 99.1 PLR Shamrock & Roll 5K. The ladies took the victory by over three minutes over second place. The Men’s Open and Men’s Masters Teams all places fourth in their Age Group. The Men’s Grandmaster and Women’s Masters team also took home third place in their age group as well. SoundRunner will have a quick turnaround as the next Grand Prix race will the Bolton Road Race (5 Miler) on Sunday, March 11th.

December Racing Roundup: Zablocki Runs Olympic Trials Quailfier

Racing was light this month for members of the SoundRunner Racing Club, but a few did venture outside to compete. The highlights include Chris Zablocki running 2:13:45 to qualify for the 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials and Alyssa Cole running Sub 3 Hours for the first time.
