Ladies Dominate Delaney, Marathoners Qualify for Boston

After a two month break, the men & women of Soundrunner returned to action at the Delany Dash (4 Miler) on May 25, 2019 in Old Saybrook

The Women Open Team kept their winning ways, winning the second race of the grand prix season. They won by over ten minutes over second place Manchester. The Men Open Team were Third, while the Men Masters Team also continued their winning streak as well.

Also a few runners took to the marathon in search of a Boston Marathon Qualifying time. At The Buffalo Marathon both Micheal Waterbury (2:55.47) & Katie Esposito (3:29.44) got under the standards for their age/gender. On Memorial Day at the Oh Boy! Marathon in Waterbury,  not only did Anthony Gonsalves qualify for Boston by running 2:50.35 but he also won the race.

Soundrunners have a quick turnaround for everyone’ favorite race of the year, the Spring Street Downhill Mile on June 8th.
