Soundrunner Plays Nice as Host of Sealegs

Gilford, CT – The Men & Women of Soundrunner returned to action as they played host to the sound RUNNER Sea Legs Shuffle 10 Miler in Gilford. The Women continued their undefeated season, winning the women’s open division by over 23 minutes. The men’s open team finished 2nd for the third consecutive race, boosted by some new team members. The Women’s Masters & the Men’s Grandmaster Teams also added team victories as well. The team will next compete on Labor Day at the New Haven 20k, which will also serve as the USATF National Championship.

Women Keep it Rolling on the Hills of Redding

65459824_2760230870658909_3305072978898714624_nRedding, CT – The Men and Women of Soundrunner headed west to Redding to compete in the Redding Rock ‘N Roots 9k, Event #4 of the USATF CT Grand Prix Circuit. The Women team kept their winning streak alive, led by Sybil Shapiro who set the course Master Women’s Record. The Men’s Open Team tied their best finish of the season with a second place finish, only one spot behind Hartbeat. Soundrunner Host the next Grand Prix Event, the Seas Leg Shuffle 10 Miler at the end of the month.

Spring Street Mile Good to Soundrunners

Women keep their winning streak intact, Men get their best finish of the season.

 

Then men and the women of soundRunner took to the streets of Manchester for the Spring Street Mile, race #3 of the USATF CT Grand Prix Circuit. The Women dominated the downhill, winning as a team over a minute over second place New Haven RR. The Men’s Open Team took the team Silver, Led by Mr. Crop Top, Will Sanders. The Men’s Masters and Grandmasters team also took second place honors as a team.

Also a few runners took to the marathon in search of a Boston Marathon Qualifying time. At The Buffalo Marathon both Micheal Waterbury (2:55.47) & Katie Esposito (3:29.44) got under the standards for their age/gender. On Memorial Day at the Oh Boy! Marathon in Waterbury,  not only did Anthony Gonsalves qualify for Boston by running 2:50.35 but he also won the race.

Soundrunners have a quick turnaround for everyone’ favorite race of the year, the Spring Street Downhill Mile on June 8th.

 

Teams Start Out on Top in New Haven

The Soundrunner Racing Team took to the streets of New Haven to open the season at the 99.1 PLR Shamrock & Roll 5K. This was the opening race in the 2019 USATF CT Road Grand Prix Series.
